Animal Gallery The Durango Colorado area abounds with domesticated animals and livestock, and the San Juan National Forest is teaming with wildlife. To photograph an animal whether wild or someone's backyard pet and capture a hint of 'personality' is a goal in my mind whenever the opportunity is present. Most of the photos in this gallery are from assignments to preserve nature or have been used as stock photography for use as greeting cards, educational material and other publishing. Architecture Gallery Growing up with a family heritage in construction and architecture has embedded in me a need to photograph buildings and other large-scale man-made projects. I can recall shooting a neighbor's swimming pool installation from start to finish at the age of 10. Over the years assignments for architects, interior designers, real estate brokers, major book and magazine publishers have given me volumes of practice - experience and a keen eye for detail sometimes overlooked by others. Food Gallery Everyone loves some kind of food, a daily part of life for most of us. Food photography though is a challenging art and requires a specialist with a sharp eye and a great deal of patience. Working with master chefs and talented food stylists has given me the opportunity to hone some special skills in regards to what makes food look good. Hopefully, this gallery selection from assignments with restaurants, food producers, and editorial clients shows some appetizing images made with good taste. People Gallery Since moving to Durango, I have become much more interested in photographing people than ever before. The concept of capturing real-life moments, whether spontaneous or created through planning and scripting seems to be where my energy goes regarding people photos. Colorado and the Southwest offer a natural backdrop to action and activities the area seems to simply draw in people seeking the active lifestyle.
